Frank S. Goldberg, Chairman and CEO
Frank Goldberg formed Briar Capital in 2003 as a portfolio lender and one of Texas' only non-bank providers of working capital and real estate loans for small and middle-market businesses. Mr. Goldberg has been involved in the management of financial institutions since 1970.  Among his many accomplishments, he founded a successful community bank and managed its growth to $85 million in assets.  He later founded CompuBank, the first federally chartered electronic bank.
Tim McCabe, President and COO
Tim McCabe is a veteran banking executive with more than 25 years in commercial banking and asset-based structured financing.   Prior to joining Briar Capital, he founded McCabe Capital Partners of Phoenix, Arizona specializing in invoice factoring, formula-based lines of credit, purchase order financing, healthcare and equipment financing and customized capital solutions.
Stephen Fisher, Financial Consultant
Stephen Fisher has provided consulting services to asset-based, factoring and leveraged commercial loan situations, including real estate, since 1986.  Mr. Fisher began his banking career with InterFirst Bank Dallas (now Bank of America) where he served as Senior Vice President and Group Manager for the bank's Asset-Based Lending Group; Senior Vice President Credit Analysis Group and Senior Vice President Special Assets Management.  He later developed the Asset-Based Lending Group for Bank One, Texas.   Mr. Fisher is a former Director of the Commercial Finance Association.
Renae Sinclair, Senior Underwriter
Renae Sinclair began her career in asset-based lending with Frost Capital Group, a division of Frost National Bank.  During her 15 years at Frost Capital Group, she served as a field examiner, account executive and business development officer before becoming the underwriter for both its factoring and asset-based transactions.
M. Karen Gonzales, Controller
Karen Gonzales manages Briar Capital's operations, accounting and computer systems and serves as Corporate Secretary for the company's Board of Managers. Previously, Ms. Gonzales spent 25 years in the engineering industry where among her many capacities she served as Assistant Controller of an independent oil refinery. She also participated in the startup and management of a firm that developed software for designing oil and gas refineries.
John Kerkhoff, SVP
John Kerkhoff is a veteran of the commercial finance business having previously co-founded MCP Corporation, a Phoenix-based commercial finance company. MCP later was acquired by Briar Capital in 2011.
Susan Holliday, SVP Operations Manager
Sue Holliday is skilled in Asset Based Lending with over 20 years experience as an account executive, underwriter and controller.  Prior to joining Briar Capital, she served as Senior Vice President and portfolio manager for Frost Capital Group, a division of Frost National Bank.
Laura Cordero, VP Senior Account Executive
Laura Cordero began her career with Frost Capital Group, a division of Frost Bank, in 1999.  Mrs. Cordero's background includes considerable experience in both asset based lending and invoice factoring.  During her tenure with Frost, she served as accounting manager, account executive and operations team leader
